A communication board is a simple yet highly effective way to allow children to communicate with others when they are non-speaking or lack communication skills.  This two sided board will be placed centrally in the new playground and allows children to point to various symbols to effectively communicate with others. The board is based on communication systems that children that are non-speaking already know how to use.  It only requires adults or peers to point at the board and model to reflectively communicate.  
 
Imagine seeing a child who normally isn't able to communicate with others finally be able to talk with friends by bringing them to this board and being able to say "Do you want to play?"
